Employee Spotlight: Meet Emily

Emily has been a Paycom sales representative since November 2014. Recently, I reached out and asked her to share her story.

Describe what you do.

I am an executive sales representative. My goal is to instill in organizations the profound impact on operational efficiencies of a single-solution software to manage their entire employee life cycle. I have also loved the opportunity to help pave and build our brand here in Philadelphia specifically.

What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?

Know that you will be pushed to your limits beyond what you could imagine, and be OK with that! You’ll constantly be challenging your comfort zone, but you will be able to reflect on your success and feel proud of all that you have accomplished.

What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?

“Tenacity.” In order to be successful here, you have to be dedicated, determined and dynamic – all at once, day in and day out.

What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?

My greatest accomplishment would be qualifying for President’s Club my first full year.

Employee Spotlight: Meet Emily

What makes you proud to work at Paycom?

I’m so grateful and proud to be part of a company that surrounds me with peers that I can honestly say are some of the most intelligent, inspiring and hardworking professionals I’ll ever encounter. I’ve developed such a dynamic skill set, but more importantly, continue to grow professionally and personally each and every day.

Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?

Belize was my favorite trip thus far. I enjoyed feeling completely immersed in the culture, and I was able to experience and see so many different things during that trip. We hiked and explored the Xunantunich Mayan ruins, went zip lining and waterfall rappelling through the jungle, experienced underground cave tubing, and really just embraced the local food and nightlife with the residents of the Hopkins village.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

I love the performing arts! I frequent the ballet, opera, symphony and touring Broadway shows on a regular basis. Philadelphia has an amazing food scene, too, so you can also find me on the hunt for the latest and greatest restaurants opening up in the City of Brotherly Love. I’m also part of several social groups, including a kickball league with an amazing group of friends!

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be and why?

Teleportation. The sky would be the limit for efficiency, I could maximize traveling and, most importantly, avoid traffic completely!
