Employee Spotlight: Meet Dante

Dante is a client relations representative and has been a member of the Paycom family since March 2016. Last week, I reached out and asked him to share his story.

Describe what you do.

The real question is, what don’t we do? The client relations department provides excellent customer service because we’re always positive and willing to assist our customers to the best of our ability. Utilizing our executive skillset and product knowledge, we are able to create a long-lasting relationship with each one of our clients. Determining the customer’s needs and solving problems quickly is an everyday focus, which helps lead to satisfied customers. We partner with the Paycom service department to provide customer service that is un-paralleled throughout the human capital management (HCM) industry.

What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?

You can’t let the highs get too high and the lows get too low. Be happy, but never satisfied.

What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?

Leadership. To me, that word is about playing to your strengths and addressing weaknesses. Every day, we find new ways to stay innovative, be productive and create efficiencies in all that we do. We set the industry standards for success.

What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?

Every day is a great accomplishment at Paycom. Whether it’s helping a company that has 10 employees or 5,000, building a relationship and making a lasting impression with everyone we come into contact with is a “win” in and of itself.

What makes you proud to work at Paycom?

The people, support, relationships and commitment to excellence.

Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?

My favorite place to travel has been San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. It’s a quiet, quaint little piece of paradise located on the Baja California peninsula. Built in the 1940s, it is known for its historic district, art exhibits, sandy beaches and laid-back scene. It is where my fiancée and I took our first vacation.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

Anything that allows me to be with friends and family outdoors. Whether it’s fishing in the northern lakes of Wisconsin, or attending a street festival here in Chicago, give me a few friends, some sun and country music, and I am a happy man.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be and why?

I would like the ability to read people’s minds. I enjoy understanding what makes people tick, and it sure would make uncovering pain points a whole lot easier!
